This image reflects the promise a father made to his late wife while she was in labor with their daughter. The father had just got a factory job and was looking towards a new life in the Midwest. He and his wife worked hard to save up and move out of Tennessee. She made him promise to give their daughter's life to Christ by baptism in the river when their daughter turned age 9. The unique thing about this particular story is that the mother was in labor in their way north and passed away after the birth. The mediums used are acrylic on canvas.
